We are having a special event all about socks for 10 days.  Summer is the perfect time of the year for knitting socks, so we are getting you ready with

• lots of new sock yarns including Noro, Kaffe Fassett, Patons Stretch, Oceanwind Knits ( a beautiful wool hand-dyed in Teeswater ), On Your Toes Bamboo, Hot Sox, and great new colours in TOFUtsies.
• FREE sock patterns with purchase
• FREE mini samples of TOFUtsies
• 1 day sock knitting class - Sat. May 10th from 1-5pm  - We will teach you how to knit on 4 needles by knitting a cute little baby sock.  You’ll learn all the elements of sock construction in one afternoon, then look out - you’ll be hooked.    You will need a set of 5  2.25mm-2.75mm double pointed needles, and sock yarn for this class.  There is no charge, but we ask if you can, please bring a donation of a canned good for the Salvation Army Food Bank.  Please call to register - and please note the store will be closed during this event  519-371-4311

Starting Thursday September 13 and running until Saturday Sept 15 Riverside is having a 1 year anniversary party. The first 100 visitors through the doors will get a free gift (a little thank you for your support over the past year). If you are downtown over the next few days be sure to drop in say a quick hello to Colleen, check out the new fall colours and patterns and perhaps even pick out the supplies to get an early start on your Christmas gift knitting!

There are a number of new things going on right now at Riverside. For starters our website is a new addition. Things are looking good and we hope this site will serve to keep you connected to what’s happening in the shop and the knitting community in the area. What else is new you ask? The new fall yarn stock is starting to arrive. New colours for the season and an number of new patterns to keep you busy as the days grow shorter.
