SOCKS ON 2 CIRCULARS – Mon. Jan. 28, Fed. 11 and 18, 6:30-8:30pm $45 SOLD OUT

This class is ideal for both first-time sock knitters, and those with more experience looking for a new and faster way. A copy of Cat Bordhi’s Socks on Circulars is included.

KNITTING 101 – Wed. Jan. 30 and Feb. 6, OR Wed. Mar. 27 and Apr 4, 6:30-8:30pm $30

We will start with the basics in this class, casting on and garter stitch. You can make a scarf, hat, pillow, or start blocks for a baby afghan – it’s up to you. A copy of Patons Next Steps 1 is included.

CROCHET 101 – Tues Feb. 5, 6:30-8:30pm $20

Never crocheted before? This class is for you. We will start from the beginning and learn the basic stitches. Hook and yarn, and a copy of Patons Next Steps 5 included. Want to learn more? Sign up for Crochet 102 as well.

Crochet 102 – Tues. Feb. 12, 6:30-8:30pm $15

So you’ve crocheted a bit, now it’s time to begin a project. Bring your pattern and yarn and we’ll get you started.

HANS (fingerless gloves) – Wed. Feb. 13 and 20, 6:30-8:30pm $45 includes kit

These mitts are a great next step from knitting a scarf. They are knit on 2 straight needles, and will teach you purling, increasing, decreasing and sewing a seam. Yarn and pattern included.

INTRODUCTION TO STRANDED KNITTING – Mon. Feb.25, 6:30-8:30pm $15 SOLD OUT

Learn how to knit beautiful multicoloured garments with stranded knitting. This is the same technique used for the popular Norwegian ski sweaters, Icelandic yoke sweaters and Fair Isle mittens. You will learn how to read a colour chart, choose pleasant colour combinations, and work your knitting by holding a different colour in each hand. This class is great for stash-busting sock yarn

CIRCULAR SCARF – Wed. Feb. 27 and Mar. 6, 6:30-8:30pm $30

Another great class for new knitters – you just need to know how to knit and purl. This cowl knits up quickly in a chunky weight yarn and will teach up how to knit in the round.

INTRODUCTION TO “DOUBLE KNITTING” – Mon. Mar. 4, 6:30-8:30pm $15

It’s cold out there. Learn how to create beautiful, warm, and reversible fabric with the amazing double knitting technique. In this one night class you will learn how to read double knitting charts, and knit with a strand of yarn in each hand to create reversible fabric. Students will practice the technique by casting on a double sided scarf.

STAY-ON BABY BOOTIES – Wed. Apr. 10 and 17, 6:30-8:30pm $30

You will receive a copy of this popular pattern from “Churchmouse Yarns” which is great for newer knitters. You will learn to knit, purl, increase, decrease, and create eyelets all in one cute little package. If you’re bored with scarves this class is for you.
